What was our role?

Extension and refurbishment of existing church. Works included the installation of a new first floor and structural steel support. New lift, extension of the tower for new stairwell, construction of a single storey side extension, forming of openings for new entrance, new external works and path to north side, the installation of new heating and services throughout.

The painted glass windows were commission by the client and installed by Hutton Construction.

The site was restricted, with limited storage space. Therefore, all materials deliveries were planned and co-ordinated to arrive on a ‘just in time’ basis.

The original foundation stone was removed and stored safely while the works were undertaken. At this time, we uncovered a time-capsule dating back to 1898. We then replaced the time-capsule and added a new one with documents from 2019, under the foundation stone in its new location.
