Assistant Site Manager

Site Based

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of construction projects across our portfolio. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will help coordinate day-to-day site operations and ensure that quality, safety, and performance targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager with site mobilisation and set-up
  • be able to manage smaller projects independently
  • Help coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors on site
  • Monitor progress against programmes and assist with planning schedules
  • Carry out quality checks and support the implementation of the Project Quality Plan
  • Maintain accurate records and site administration
  • Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Liaise with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager, clients, and design teams
  • Support the management of health & safety on site, ensuring high standards
  • Attend site and subcontractor meetings and contribute to ongoing planning and reporting
  • Carry out additional tasks as necessary to support project delivery and company objectives

Essential Requirements:

  • CSCS Black Card (Management level)
  • SMSTS/SSSTS
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a main contracting environment
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance procedures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Contracts Assistant

Stansted

We are looking for a highly organised Contracts Assistant to provide professional and efficient support to our Contracts and Quantity Surveying team.

Based at our Stansted office, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with surveyors, contracts managers, clients, and subcontractors. The successful candidate will play a key part in project administration, document control, and day-to-day liaison, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of our construction and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Copy and distribute drawings and specifications for subcontractor and materials enquiries
  • Check subcontractor and material quotations
  • Assist in preparing, extending, and checking priced Bills of Quantities
  • Support the management of contractual records and documentation
  • Produce project reports and documentation at commencement, throughout delivery, and upon completion
  • Provide typing and administrative support as required
  • Maintain safe storage and protection of company data
  • Assist with the smooth operation of the company switchboard, ensuring a professional image is maintained
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support the Contracts and Quantity Surveying team

Essential Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work with in-house databases
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable team player
  • Previous construction administration experience desirable but not essential

This role is typically a 9.30-3pm Monday-Friday, we are happy to discuss alternative working hours.
