Commonwealth Games Baton visits Wellcome Genome Campus

Wednesday 9 July 2022 was a day to be remembered for many years to come for our site staff and operatives working at the Wellcome Genome Campus who witnessed the spectacle of the Queen’s Baton Relay as it made its way though Cambridge, and onto the Campus as part of a 294-day long journey to every corner of the Commonwealth. The baton’s journey included travelling through 72 nations and territories before making its final leg to Birmingham for the 2022 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
